I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but lived in enough places to say I'm not from anywhere. I primarily
grew up in Ft. Myers, FL. I left there in 1987 to join the Air Force, and other then a few visits, I have not been back. My
mother and brother live there still. I live now in Tempe, AZ and I think it is a lovely place.
Some very basic information about me. I was born in Feb 1967. I like the colours grey, blue and purple. I
was in the USAF for just under ten years. I got out when the primary airframe I worked on (the F-4 Phantom) was retired. I
was also pretty much done with being in the military. I have been married to the same man since October 26, 1987. We have
one son, Nathanial, who was born December 22, 1990. While I didn't mind giving birth, I found being pregnant sucked. Thus,
Nathanial is an only child. Also, Gregg and I got pretty lucky with him and didn't want to test fate and end up with a demon
child. My husband and I do consider adopting at some point in the future, but we may stick with cats.
My political leanings are moderate with some swings to the left or right. I support any adult person's right to
get married, have a safe abortion (though I wish abortions were never considered necessary), and be able to work in whatever
job they want to and are capable of doing. Each person has the right to live as they see fit to the degree that it doesn't
interfere with the rights of other people. More people should adopt than give birth and I encourage safe sex as well as
abstinence. I believe that marijuana should be legal or alcohol made illegal. Urban Homesteading has been my latest
interest and I hope to one day be 80% off of "the grid" within 5 years. I am a staunch supporter of State's Rights and in
being active in local and national issues. Being registered to vote is a responsibility and one I wish more people took
seriously.
Generally, I lead a fairly quiet life, spending a lot of my time on the computer. I have a few close friends who I
visit with and whose friendships are very precious to me. I like to bake and take pride
in doing as much from scratch as is reasonable. I foster kittens out of my home, and truly enjoy the little lives I have
helped find new homes.
I am a fan of "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer", "Angel" and "Firefly" and since they are all off of the air at the
moment, I do go through withdrawal. Fortunately, their release on DVD helps to keep the delirium tremens at bay. I play a
few RPG type games, like "Neverwinter Nights", "Diablo", and "Dungeon Siege". I also like RTS games like "Starcraft" and
"Ages of Empires". At the moment, I play purely on the PC, though I hope to get better at console games. There are so many
out there that I would like to play, but I really suck at using the controllers. A lot of the time, I just watch my son or
roommate play.
